Kevin and Irene’s story unfolded against the vibrant backdrop of two beautiful traditions coming together in perfect harmony. This couple’s Catholic Indian wedding was a breathtaking celebration of love, family, and heritage, beginning with a ceremony at Our Lady of the Snows Roman Catholic Church in Floral Park, New York, followed by a stunning (and crazy fun) reception at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY.
As someone who had the incredible honor of photographing both their proposal and this wedding day, I was struck by how seamlessly Kevin and Irene wove together the richness of their Indian heritage with the sacred traditions of their Catholic faith. This Indian wedding photo gallery is an intimate look at one of my favorite weddings I’ve ever shot as a photographer – it’s a long one, but well worth making it to the end for a world class party.

Kevin & Irene’s Catholic Indian Wedding on Long Island: Gallery Highlights
This stunning Long Island wedding captured the essence of two worlds – sacred Catholic traditions and the vibrant colors of Indian celebration. Throughout the day, I watched in awe as Kevin and Irene honored both aspects of their heritage, creating a celebration that felt deeply personal and magnificently inclusive. Their Indian catholic wedding melded ceremonial elements from both cultures, resulting in a day filled with meaningful rituals, joyful tears, and celebrations that continued well into the night.
Here’s a collection of highlights to give you a sneak peek into what’s coming in the full gallery below.

Now that you’ve seen a little glimpse of this colorful and exciting Indian wedding, here’s the whole gallery, broken down by event.

The Night Before: Mehndi, Haldi, & Sangeet
The celebration began the evening before in the intimate setting of Irene’s family backyard, transformed into a colorful haven for her mehndi ceremony. String lights cast a warm glow over the gathering as friends and family came together in anticipation of the wedding day.
In traditional Indian wedding custom, the mehndi night holds special significance – it’s not just about adorning the bride’s hands and feet with intricate henna designs, but about surrounding her with love and well-wishes. Seeing Irene surrounded by her closest friends and family in their vibrant outfits, sharing laughter and creating memories, was the perfect beginning to this Indian catholic wedding celebration.
The backyard setting, adorned with marigold garlands and colorful fabrics, offered the perfect backdrop for this intimate cultural moment before the more formal Catholic ceremony to come.

The detailed bridal henna designs of the mehndi artist were mesmerizing, as she carefully applied intricate patterns on Irene’s hands – each curve and swirl symbolizing the joy and prosperity awaiting the couple. The little ones even got the chance to have their own henna, proudly showing it off to family members as it dried.
This Catholic Indian wedding was rooted in tradition, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved (myself included!).

As the sun set, the traditions continued, with family feeding the bride and groom sweets as a crowd of onlookers cheered on. Night fell, and music took over with dancing, endless laughter, and tight hugs all around.
This night before celebration set an incredible tone for the wedding to follow. It also left me with a powerful reminder that while Indian wedding photos are steeped in beauty – I mean, look at those outfits! – it’s the people, the traditions, and the joy that truly make them come alive.

Morning of Wedding: Getting Ready at Home
No venue in the world has the comfort of home and Irene and Kevin spent their wedding morning moving through familiar spaces — the rooms they had walked a thousand times at Irene’s family home, now buzzing with activity and charged with giddy anticipation. Getting to photograph the bride getting ready in her childhood home, surrounded by the women closest to her, added such a meaningful layer to this Long Island wedding.
I always love when couples get ready at home: the sound of coffee brewing downstairs, shoes half-packed by the door, a stillness in the air before everything begins. What made this morning even more special was knowing that Kevin and Irene had chosen not to see each other before the church ceremony – a decision that would make their moment at the altar even more emotionally charged.

Bridesmaids Gifts & Matching Pamajas for the Girls
Laughter echoed through the bedroom as Irene and her bridesmaids lounged on the bed in their matching navy pajamas, opening the specially chosen gifts she’d selected for each of them. The gift bags revealed treasures and personal, handwritten notes for every girl that brought smiles and a few happy tears to all faces.
These quiet moments before the whirlwind of the day truly begins are some of the most fun to capture. I loved watching Irene’s friends admire their gifts while sharing memories and excitement for the day ahead – these genuine moments of friendship added another layer of richness to this Indian wedding photo gallery.
After soaking in as much quality time as possible, the easy laughter started giving way to a different kind of energy — the kind that bubbles up when you realize it’s almost time. The gorgeous green saris were unzipped from garment bags, jewelry fastened, hair pinned back into place. Watching the bridesmaids transform into these stunning traditional outfits was breathtaking – each sari had been specially brought from India, adding another layer of beauty to this celebration.

Irene Puts on Her Dress With Mom
Sunlight streamed through the windows as Irene’s mother carefully fastened the delicate buttons running down the back of her daughter’s wedding gown. The intricate mehndi designs on Irene’s hands created a beautiful contrast against the crisp white fabric – a visual representation of the cultural fusion at the heart of this day.
There’s an indescribable tenderness in watching a mother help her daughter into her wedding dress, especially in the home where she raised her. Irene chose a stunning fitted gown with a sweeping train and chapel-length veil, creating a striking contrast against the vibrant traditional Indian attire worn by the guests and wedding party. As her mother stepped back, both women’s eyes glistened with tears – it was one of those precious moments that make weddings the milestone event that they are.
And, knowing that Irene would later change into a beautiful red sari made this white gown moment even more special – the perfect representation of how this couple was honoring both their Western and Indian traditions throughout their celebration.
But really, my favorite part was how Irene kept pausing to soak it all in — standing by the window, putting in her earrings, sneaking little smiles at her mom. This is the kind of stuff I live for as a wedding photographer.

A Moment for the Guys
Then it was time for the guys. Kevin looked sharp in his tux, and watching his friends help pin his boutonniere and hype him up before the ceremony was such a good reminder that the “getting ready” part isn’t just about the bride. The groomsmen always fly under the radar during the getting ready part, but these moments are some of my favorites to shoot.
The whole crew stepped outside for a few quick photos, the groomsmen sporting charcoal suits and a classic black tux for Kevin. These guys didn’t need much direction. Honestly, they were just having a good time, and I got to bounce around with my camera and catch it all.

First Look With Dad
After the finishing touches, Irene made her way down the stairs slowly for her first look with dad. Veil tucked, dress gathered in one hand, the second Irene’s dad saw her, his whole face just lit up. He had his arms out before she even reached the bottom step.
This moment was such a beautiful pause in the middle of all the wedding day movement. No dramatic music, no staging — just pure reaction.
They hugged for a long time. Not the quick “smile for the camera” kind, but the real, full-body, hold-you-close kind. You could feel how proud he was, and how much this moment meant to both of them.

Family Blessing Before Church Wedding Ceremony
As the family gathered in the living room for an at home blessing, the atmosphere shifted from pre-ceremony bustle to something a bit more sacred.
Suddenly, it wasn’t about the party, but something much deeper. The priest’s words floated over a gathering that wasn’t shy about letting emotions show, and all around, everyone was caught up in quiet reverence.
I was particularly struck by how the bright lemons in the room became a focal point (a theme in these Indian wedding photos) —acting as a simple, unexpected part of the tradition. Family passed the lemons around as a symbol of warding off negative energy and blessing the path forward. Irene’s tearful smiles and earnest nods to each blessing made me so excited for the ceremony just minutes away.

Kevin & Irene’s Indian Catholic Wedding Ceremony at Snows Roman Catholic Church
Where do I even begin with this ceremony? The soaring architecture of Our Lady of the Snows Roman Catholic Church provided a majestic setting for Kevin and Irene to exchange their vows. What made this location even more meaningful was that Kevin had grown up going to this very church – he was very loved there, and you could feel the warmth from the congregation as they welcomed this celebration.
The stained glass windows cast colorful light across the sanctuary as guests from both families filled the pews in anticipation. Kevin waited at the altar with his groomsmen, and then came Irene — veil trailing, bouquet overflowing, arm in arm with her father. When he gave her away, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
The ceremony itself was deeply spiritual — full of symbolic rituals and heartfelt vows, led by priests in intricately embroidered vestments. The fact that Kevin and Irene had chosen not to see each other before this moment made their first look at the altar incredibly special and emotional. Irene and Kevin exchanged rings, shared their first kiss as a married couple, and had a Pinterest-worthy wedding bubble exit from the church.
From the first hymn to the final blessing, Kevin and Irene’s Indian Catholic wedding ceremony was an incredible union of families and cultures.
See it unfold below.

Walking Down the Aisle
The moment the church doors opened, everything else faded. Irene stood with her dad just inside the entryway of Snows Roman Catholic Church, and even though the entire room was full, it felt like the whole world paused for her.
The wedding party watched on as her father gave Irene away, the girls in deep green Indian bridesmaid dresses that brought so much texture and elegance to the ceremony. The mix of cultural beauty and timeless tradition made this Catholic Indian wedding completely unforgettable.
I love this moment at every wedding, but this one was cinematic. And emotional. And so full of love it could have burst through the stained glass windows.

Irene’s bouquet was overflowing with soft blush roses and cascading greenery, but her smile stole the show. A mix of joy, nerves, and this glowing peace that said: this is it. Her dad held her arm proudly — his posture steady, his eyes brimming — and together they took those first steps down the aisle.
And Kevin? Let’s just say, I’ve never seen someone try harder not to cry while smiling at the same time. As Irene walked toward him, surrounded by loved ones and the echo of the music, there was this undeniable electricity in the room. Every detail — from the live violinist to the adorable flower girls — felt meaningful.

The Church Ceremony Begins
Once Irene reached the altar, the ceremony truly began. Snows Roman Catholic Church was the perfect venue for this part of their Catholic Indian wedding. The architecture was clean and reverent, the stained glass cast colorful shadows, and the altar was framed by floral arrangements that somehow made the whole space feel like it was blooming right alongside Kevin and Irene’s new chapter.
The bride and groom stood hand in hand, the priest guiding them through every step of the sacrament. There were readings and hymns, blessings and beautiful Indian Caltholic wedding traditions I had the pleasure of capturing — and learning about.
And when it came time for the final prayer and blessing, you could see the emotion ripple through the pews — parents holding hands, bridesmaids wiping tears, groomsmen with proud, quiet smiles.
There’s something about these Long Island weddings that feels so personal — and this one, rooted in Indian tradition and Catholic faith, was one of the most beautiful I’ve photographed.

Just Married!
With vows exchanged and rings on, Irene and Kevin made their way back up the aisle—this time, hand in hand as husband and wife.
They paused briefly for hugs and congratulations, the moment still fresh and glittering. Before heading out for the reception, the couple took time for formal family photos inside the church—surrounded by loved ones, framed by soft florals and the glow of stained glass.
But the real exclamation point came outside.

The Perfect Wedding Bubble Exit
The church doors opened, and the glowing couple were met with a wave of music and cheers, draped in floral garlands before stepping into the crowd.
Instead of traditional rice or petals, Kevin and Irene’s guests created a magical atmosphere with hundreds of bubbles filling the air outside Our Lady of the Snows. The bubbles caught the sunlight, creating a dreamlike effect as Kevin and Irene made their way through this ephemeral tunnel of celebration.
Laughter and cheers accompanied them as they navigated through the group of loved ones, stopping for hugs and well-wishes along the way. This joyful exit perfectly captured the spirit of their day – effervescent, bright, and surrounded by love. The bubbles provided a lighthearted transition between the sacred solemnity of their church ceremony and the celebrations awaiting them at their Indian wedding venue on Long Island. In other words, the perfect way to end one chapter… and start the next.
I freakin’ love a good wedding bubble exit.

The Most Beautiful Wedding Party
After the ceremony, everyone made their way over to Crest Hollow Country Club for cocktail hour before the reception. While guests got settled at the Long Island wedding venue, we took advantage of the stunning grounds for wedding party photos.
I’m obsessed with how these turned out — the venue’s lush greenery paired with a wedding party that looks like they stepped out of a magazine and a crazy in love bride and groom brings so much life to these shots.
This part of every wedding is always a blast and so much fun to shoot because the nerves have melted, the ceremony is behind you, and all that’s left is to celebrate. And that’s exactly what this group did.

Bridesmaids
Irene’s girls were show-stopping in their Indian bridesmaid dresses, traditional green saris from India with gold thread and mirror work, hairpiece and all. Every look sparkled under the sun, and each girl brought her own flair to the vibe.
There were laughs, spins, group hugs, and at one point, Irene was literally swept off her feet. There was no need to stage anything. The way the girls hyped each other up, goofed off between takes, and wrapped Irene in hugs said it all.

Groomsmen
Meanwhile, the groomsmen brought their own style to the day. In classic gray suits accented with subtle green details that coordinated perfectly with the bridesmaids’ dresses, these guys balanced suave with goofy, making the whole day a blast.
During groomsmen photos, they cracked jokes, hyped Kevin up, and didn’t take themselves too seriously (except when fixing his bowtie like a scene out of a Bond movie). From group cheers to full-out bear hugs, they brought all the energy.

Newlywed Bliss With These Bride and Groom Portraits
As the golden hour light began to soften across the grounds, I stole a few moments alone with Kevin and Irene for their first portraits as husband and wife. The tender way they looked at each other spoke volumes about the depth of their connection.
Crest Hollow gave us dreamy backdrops, but Irene and Kevin brought the rest. We wandered through the gardens, finding pockets of beautiful light that illuminated their joy. These quiet moments amidst the busy celebration allowed them to absorb the reality of their marriage, creating space for intimate connection away from the crowd.
The nerves were gone, the ceremony was behind them, and all that was left was this easy, glowy calm between two people who just got married.

Kevin & Irene’s Wedding Reception at Crest Hollow Country Club, Woodbury, New York
The reception space at Crest Hollow Country Club had been transformed into a breathtaking setting that honored both their cultures. Crystal chandeliers cast a warm glow over tables adorned with both Western and Indian-inspired details, while emerald green accents echoed throughout the space. This renowned Indian wedding venue on Long Island provided the perfect canvas for their vision of cultural harmony.
As guests entered the reception, they were greeted by elements from both Catholic and Indian traditions – from the seating arrangement display to the carefully curated menu featuring specialties from both cuisines. The attention to detail at every turn made this Crest Hollow Country Club wedding a true reflection of Kevin and Irene’s unique love story.

Father Daughter Dance
The reception began with the father-daughter dance, a moment that brought tears to many eyes as Irene and her father swayed across the dance floor. The connection between them was palpable – years of love and memories flowing between them with each step.
The room fell silent except for the music as everyone watched this tender exchange. Her father’s proud smile and Irene’s graceful movements created a tableau of family love that transcended cultural boundaries. This traditional Western custom took on new depth in the context of their Indian catholic wedding, becoming another bridge between their heritages and a celebration of the family bonds that had shaped them both.

Kevin & Irene’s First Dance
When Kevin and Irene took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife, the atmosphere in the room shifted to one of pure romance. The elegant ballroom at Crest Hollow Country Club, with its dimmable ambient lighting and cloud effect spanning across the floor, created the perfect dreamlike setting for this special moment.
They moved together with natural grace, occasionally exchanging whispered words that made them both smile. What struck me most was how present they remained with each other despite being surrounded by hundreds of guests – their world narrowed to just the two of them, celebrating the beginning of their married journey. The perfect balance of elegance and genuine emotion made this first dance a highlight of their Long Island wedding reception.

Speeches, Cake, & Champagne
The evening continued with heartfelt speeches that celebrated both Kevin and Irene’s individual journeys and their story together. Family members and friends from both sides shared anecdotes and well-wishes that had the room alternating between laughter and happy tears.
The cake cutting followed – a stunning multi-tiered creation that incorporated subtle elements from both their Catholic and Indian heritage. As they cut the first piece together and shared it with each other, their playful interaction delighted their guests. These traditions, familiar yet made unique by their personal touch, created memorable moments that captured the essence of their celebration: honoring their roots while creating something entirely new together.

Outfit Changes: Time to Party
As the formal portion of the evening concluded, Kevin and Irene changed into traditional Indian attire for the dance celebration. Irene’s sparkling sari caught the light with every movement, while Kevin looked handsome in his coordinating sherwani.
Their outfit change signaled a shift in the reception’s energy – from the formal dinner to an all-out celebration blending the best dance traditions from both cultures. Seeing them enter the reception space in these stunning traditional outfits brought fresh excitement to the room. The dance floor quickly filled as their Indian catholic wedding reception transitioned into a vibrant party that would continue well into the night at this premier Crest Hollow Country Club wedding.
