If photos are important to you, I highly recommend scheduling a couple's session (aka: an engagement session). Your photographer is the person you will spend the most time with on your wedding day, so it's crucial to make sure they are someone you jive well with.
This portrait session is super laid back - you'll get some experience in front of the camera and get an idea of how I shoot. This way when the elopement comes along, we're old friends and not complete strangers.

Hi, I'm Elsie Goodman. I've been obsessed with capturing connection for a very long time, but what really drew me to elopement photography is getting to focus on those quiet, genuine moments - the glance, the hand squeeze, the smile that's just for your person.
New York is special to me (it’s where I call home), and with my background in event planning, I love helping couples craft their dream elopement day. Whether you want something from my standard packages or are angling for a completely custom day, I'm here for it. No adventure is too big or small - I'll cross the bridge with you in a vintage cab, wake up at sunrise, or hop in a rowboat in Central Park.
But above all else, I create my best work for couples I consider friends. That sense of trust and connection changes everything, it’s what makes the experience feel fun, natural, and real instead of awkward or posed.

The Philosophy Behind My NYC Elopement Packages
I've designed my NYC elopement packages based on what I've learned from photographing hundreds of celebrations: most couples want flexibility, but they also want someone who actually knows what they're doing to help guide the day (hello, event planning background). Because every couple is different, I'd rather create something perfect for you than force you into a box that doesn't fit.
What sets my NYC elopement packages apart is I work with a small group of vendors I trust completely. When you book with me as your elopement photographer in NYC, you're not just getting photos, you're getting someone who can help orchestrate the whole day, from music to bouquets and even a cake, so you can actually be present for the moments that matter.
My Approach to Elopement Photography
It's About the In-Between Moments
You know those split seconds right before you burst into laughter? Or the way your partner's hand finds yours without either of you thinking about it? Those are the moments that make your story yours.
As an NYC elopement photographer, I'm obsessed with catching those fleeting seconds that happen when you're not trying to pose - because those are the photos that will transport you right back to how everything felt.
My approach isn't about stiff portraits or forced smiles (although trust me, your mom will get those perfect shots for the mantle). It's about documenting the real, raw, beautiful messiness of love in one of the most incredible cities in the world.

New York Deserves More Than Tourist Shots
Look, anyone can take a photo in front of the Brooklyn Bridge (and don't get me wrong, we might do that too). But when you're investing in NYC elopement photography, you deserve images that capture the soul of this city - not just its skyline.
I know the light at City Hall at 4 PM in October. I know which steps at the Met give you that dreamy backdrop without the crowds. I know the little pocket parks in SoHo where you can actually hear each other's vows. This city becomes part of your story when you work with someone who truly knows it.

Here's what I love most about the elopement packages NYC couples choose - there's no "supposed to." You don't need flowers if you don't want them. You don't have to wear a white dress if that's not you. You can get married at sunrise, sunset, or even a noon lunch break if that feels right.

I'm so excited you're considering working together! Send an inquiry through my contact form with your dreams and necessary details about your day. From there, we'll chat over coffee if you're local or hop on a video call, and if it's a good fit, we'll start planning your day!

Crafting Your Package
Based on what you imagine for your celebration, I'll craft a personalized elopement package just for you. I can coordinate everything from venue to vendors, or just show up and shoot on the day of, if that's what you prefer. The idea is to design an elopement day completely true to you two.
3.
Elopement & Beyond
On your elopement day, you can forget about logistics and simply be together. I’ll be there to capture every moment, guiding when needed but mostly letting the day unfold naturally. Afterward, you’ll receive sneak peeks within the week and a full gallery soon after!

Do you travel outside of NYC for elopements?
Absolutely! While I love being an NYC elopement photographer, I'm always up for an adventure.
Whether you want to elope in the Catskills, the Hamptons, or somewhere beautiful abroad, let's talk about making it happen.
Travel fees may apply depending on location, but I promise we'll figure out something that works.
How far in advance should we book our NY elopement packages?
I recommend booking at least 3-6 months in advance, especially if you're planning for peak seasons (fall foliage, anyone?). But, if you're planning a spontaneous celebration, shoot me a message anyway - you never know what might work out!
Can you help us plan our elopement day timeline?
Yes! This is where my event planning background really shines. From the best times for photos to coordinating with vendors, I'll help you create a timeline that feels relaxed and makes sense for your vision. Consider me your day-of coordinator who also happens to be really good with a camera.
What if it rains on our NYC elopement?
New York is beautiful in every kind of weather (trust me on this). We'll have backup plans that still feel magical - covered spots in Central Park, gorgeous indoor locations, or even embracing the drama of an umbrella shot.
Some of my favorite photos have happened when the weather didn't cooperate.
