Tucked away in the heart of Long Island, this botanical estate is one of my favorite places to capture couples, proposals, and engagement sessions.

Something that makes Planting Fields so special for engagement photos is that it’s never the same place twice. The seasons bring different colors and every time I come back, something new is in bloom. No two sessions here ever look alike, even on the same patch of lawn.

One of my top places to shoot here is in the Italian Garden, which brings a slice of Europe all the way to Long Island. This part of the grounds transports you to the European countryside, with elegant symmetry and old world romance, perfect for engagement photos without the plane ticket.

The staff are also kind and accommodating, and combined with the estate’s serene atmosphere, it’s become the exact environment I’m always chasing. It’s a place where couples can relax, breathe, and let their real connection come through, allowing me to capture authentic moments you’ll always want to look back on.

It warms my heart to know the estate becomes a place they want to return to again and again to wander the grounds and reflect on their love story.

The Arboretum is such a serene space for us to wander around and deepen our connection in the moments between capturing shots.
